That project is designed for instead the place where is Ankara Toptancilar Hali near by Ankamall.It is a mixed-use project that will consolidate facilities for the growing, selling and distribution of food for local farmers in the area at the same time recycling is activated on the area as biomass.
As we know, the area is commercial as function also historically Akkopru is on the trade route and a Station (Baharat Route). Food defines who we are and where we come from.Historically, the development of cities has been inextricably connected to its production, supply and distribution. However, with the migration of rural communities to urban cities, the human population has become increasingly removed from sites of agricultural production and less aware of how their food is made. The direct relationship between producer and consumer is now separated by an ever-expanding line of middle-men entities including distributors,processors and retailers. The Local food movement demonstrates the individual and commercial consumer demand to change this relationship, but the scale of most local farms and their distribution networks makes it difficult for suppliers to meet growing demands. Food hubs have the potential to alleviate thus bottleneck of inefficiency by consolidating supplies into shared facilitating for local farmers and locating them strategically within cities. Actually it is more than a typical food hub with the addition of several key programs that serve and provide for all stages of the food chain, from farming to processing, shared spaces, retail and recycling, accommodation, education and entertainment.
In the area, pear trees, apples trees and kind of these trees what are the appropriate for Ankara are planted as urban-agriculture into an economic and community hub, Actually, that shapes a new model between consumer and producer.
The diversity of program reflects the full food chain as well as a new food space of public spaces and plazas where producers and consumers meet. Furthermore, the food hub acts as a catalyst to activate the surrounding neighborhoods exemplifying one of the complex urban relationships between architecture and food.
The campus includes an urban farm, edible garden, kitchen garden, workshop spaces, amphies for entertainment and education, recycling facility, retail etc.

The area is on the interaction of AOC and green areas. The axes are defined to Train Station and main roads while defining the relation with Ankamall. To reduce carbon fodd print, the steps of food chain come together and touchness the ground is minimized. A cage hold the slabs which are spaces; open,semi-open and closed. Thanks to columns of the cage spaces are mostly on higher levels than ground level. For example, on the pathway where comes from Ankamall to the building there is a station and it works as a cafeteria and resting space.
